Shelli Bond, M.S., LPSC, NCC
Hello! My name is Shelli Bond
I am very excited for the 2018-2019 school year here at Altruria! I am looking forward to another year educating and preparing the next generation of productive and healthy citizens.
I graduated from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and I obtained my Masters of Science in Counseling from The University of Memphis. I am also a National Certified Counselor with the National Board for Certified Counselors and licensed as a Professional School Counselor as well.
I have been a counselor for 13 years and have served in various clinical, school and leadership positions throughout my career. I am a former Professional School Counselor with Shelby County Schools, and I have also worked for Youth Villages, Child Protective Services, and served as a Foster Care Counselor as well.
I am originally from Ohio but I consider Memphis to be my home. I am an Ohio State BUCKEYE, born and bred and absolutely LOVE football season!! The Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys are my teams! I live in Bartlett and have 3 children and 2 Shih-Tzu’s (Coco Chanel & Cami) and an Australian Labradoodle named Cowboy (see how much I love my Dallas Cowboys!).
Hi! My name is Janet Reese
I will be working part-time at Altruria this year. I will also be working at Bon Lin Elementary part-time, so I get to meet twice as many awesome Bartlett Kids!!
I went to The University of Memphis for both Undergraduate and Graduate School. I started my career at Southwind Middle School, but soon moved to Elmore Park Middle School where I taught English for many years. I then moved to the Jackson, TN area and became a School Counselor. After being away for 15 years, I came home! I have two grown children; a son and a daughter and a very handsome 2 year old grandson! I also have 4 dogs, 1 cat and 2 guinea pigs!
I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
